Maybe it’s doing the washing, charging your EV, running the dishwasher, cooking up a storm, or finally getting stuck into that DIY project. Whatever it is, we want to hear how you’d make the most of your free energy.

Head to our Facebook or Instagram and leave a comment on our competition post telling us what you’d do with 3 free hours of power.

Make us laugh. Make us jealous. Make us want to join in.

You could win a whole year of free power from Octopus Energy NZ (up to the value of NZD$3,000 excluding GST).

How does the competition work?

It’s easy. All you need to do is comment what you would do with 3 free hours of power, on our Facebook or Instagram competition post.

You must be in an area we supply, and you must be following the Octopus NZ Instagram or Facebook page in order to be eligible to win this competition.

You do not have to be a current Octopus Energy NZ customer to enter. If you win in order to redeem the free power you must switch to Octopus Energy NZ.

How is the winner selected?

A panel of Octopus Energy NZ staff will pick one comment across Facebook and Instagram to win. The winner will be determined by a panel of Octopus Energy NZ staff and the winner based on creativity, humor, and relevance to the "Free Lunch" theme.

There is 1 prize and 1 winner in total across both Facebook and Instagram combined.

We’ll announce the winner and, where we can, capture the moment they find out that their power is on us for an entire year.
