1.0 These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the Octopus Energy NZ Limited ("Octopus Energy") Refer a Business Promotion ("Promotion") for existing customers who refer ("Referrer") and new customers who join ("Business").
2.0 To be eligible for the Promotion, a Business must be a new Octopus Energy business customer who:
a) completed the join process within the last month and was accepted as a ‘business customer’ that we supply electricity to. b) c) Has not received any other promotional credits upon joining Octopus Energy; and
d) Has not been an Octopus Energy customer within the last 12 months.
3.0 The Promotion entitles:
a) Each Business who meets the eligibility criteria in clause 2.0 to a credit on their Octopus Energy account; and
b) Each Referrer to a credit on their Octopus Energy account.
c) Both credits shall be referred to as a "Promo Credit".
4.0 The value of the Promo Credit will be the amount specified on the Octopus Energy NZ website, at the time the Business became a customer, Octopus Energy reserves the absolute discretion to vary from time to time.
5.0 The Promo Credit will be applied to the respective accounts of the Referrer and the Business, once the Business has received and paid their first Octopus Energy bill. The Promo Credit will appear on the billing statement that follows its application.
6.0 The Promo Credit is non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.
7.0 Should the Business cease to be an Octopus Energy customer before the end of their contract term the full Promo Credit must be repaid.
8.0 A Referrer will not be eligible to receive a Promo Credit under this Promotion if:
a) They are not an existing customer of Octopus Energy; or
b) Octopus Energy reasonably believes the Referrer is sending or advertising to people who are not known to them, or is otherwise attempting to benefit from the Promotion on a commercial basis rather than for personal use. Octopus Energy reserves the right to deactivate the Promotion for any Referrer at any time; or
c) They are in the business of brokering energy or acting as an agent for a customer
9.0 These Terms apply in addition to the Octopus Energy NZ Customer Terms and Conditions.
10.0 Octopus Energy reserves the right to amend these Terms or terminate the Promotion at any time, at its sole discretion.
